In the more innocent, naive time of 1984, the movie Electric Dreams was released. It’s a romantic comedy of a love triangle between a man, a woman, and a personal computer.

Together in Electric Dreams is the upbeat ending song for the movie, written and performed by Philip Oakey of The Human League and Italian composer/producer Giorgio Moroder. Oakey recorded all the vocals in only 10 minutes and two takes, with Moroder insisting the first of the two takes was the best.

The song overshadowed the movie, peaking at #20 on US Billboard, and #3 in the UK in 1984. While not officially recorded by The Human League, because of its popularity, Oakey sings this with The Human League arranged with more prominent backup vocals. The song used in this map is from the original soundtrack.

A light song, and very 80’s, this has been a favorite of mine for a while. Mapped as Expert.

Reloaded due to credit error in song.
