Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to become the secret beater that you were always meant to be. Sneak through ducts, perform martial arts, jump out of a plane and skydive — you’ll do it all in this map, and you’ll do it accompanied by my best lightshow yet! I tried to keep the spirit of the map alive in every difficulty, so even your apprentice secret beater friends and family can experience the thrill too. So gear up agent; the world needs saving.
This is by a composer named Jack Trammell.
I’ve got a lot of people to thank for helping polish this map up:
My lighting role model, AaltopahWi, who has been really helpful with teaching me the secrets of the lights. If you haven’t seen one of his lightshows yet, what rock have you been living under? Check out Overkill https://bsaber.com/songs/9229/ for a true masterpiece!
aggrogahu米卡, who helped me fix some vision issues in the earliest versions of my map. Did you hear he won 2018’s Holiday Contest for his map? No? Seriously, you should get out from under that rock more often. Check out his contest-winning map, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy https://bsaber.com/songs/8868/.
Varian, who helped me calm down the intensity of my lightshow to more acceptable levels. He’s active every now and then on the Beat Saber Modding Group Discord. He was working on a Christmas map last I heard, but he must upload under a different name because I can’t find it.
Fruhead, who helped me iron out some details in the sneaking section of the map. He’s always helpful on the Discord as well. Here’s his latest map, Carousel – Nightcore Reality https://bsaber.com/songs/10167/.
Electromite, for doing early playtesting over video chat which really helped me visualize and see how other people felt when playing my early patterns. Here’s his first map, HappyMaker https://bsaber.com/songs/10167/ — not bad at all for a first!
And finally, ManDynasty, whose very strict critique of my lightshow helped push me to perfect the timing on my lights rather than just lazily settling when it was just “good enough”. He’s assembling a playlist of the best lightshows the modding community has to offer, so keep an eye out for that announcement on the BeastSaber frontpage! I hope that one day I’ll make a lightshow good enough to make the list!
I put a TON of work into this map and I’m really proud of how it came out!
