Yay, Biscuit Hammer finally has an anime!!! Sure, the anime is super cheap, and generally not great, but at least it has one, i guess. At least they haven’t veered wildly into non-canon yet, so it could be worse.

Anyways, despite the general not-great-ness of this anime, the opening theme is fine (but not the opening animation. That’s also super cheap), so I made a map to celebrate. This is a map to Dawn Light / Gyoukou /Gyōkō / 暁光 by Half Time Old. It was used as the first opening theme in the anime for Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer / Wakusei no Samidare / Hoshi no Samidare / 惑星のさみだれ. Why do I have that it can be read as Wakusei or Hoshi no Samidare? Because it’s supposed to be read as Wakusei no Samidare for most the series, which is the version that translates to (roughly) Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, and then there’s a late game reveal that it was actually Hoshi no Samidare the whole time. I personally don’t feel that Hoshi should be the official reading of this text, as Wakusei is the way you’re intended to read it for most the series, but most official sources disagree with me.

I also disagree with official sources that ō (or similar characters) should ever be used when romanticizing Japanese text. Just use ou or a double vowel for other sounds that you want to express are long. Japanese is very simple to pronounce and we don’t need special characters to write it. Geez.

Anyways, this is a great manga series and an okay anime, so if you’re here from the anime, I recommend the manga. And as ever, hope y’all enjoy my map.
