In all my years of playing video games……….few games managed to really steer an emotional attachment quite like Ori and the Blind forest.
Apart from amazing art work, fun gameplay, sad and eventful story – the soundtrack is superb and magnifies the experience – credit to the composer Gareth Coker for such an amazing score and Aerali Brighton for her angel like vocal voice.

Some claimed the soundtrack was so good that it made them tear on the menu screen already…….having mapped that OST already, it’s time to move on to yet another amazing OST – and I hope you know to to climb a tree !

This map will feature 5 total difficulties, with 2 modes – One Saber included ! Forwarding the story narration and elaboration of the previous Main Menu track and the Spirit Tree, it’s time to move on with the story for those interested ! 😀

SPOILER AHEAD
for those who have not played the game and do wish to one day ! ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Forwarding from the previous narration of the Spirit Tree :

The forest of Nibel, a mystical and wondrous rain forest that inhabits many unique creatures and trees, has started to fade.
All has taken an ill turn when Ori, a magical light spirit that inhabits the Spirit Tree like many other kin got lost in the storm, since then the forest has started to slowly die, taking away it’s beauty and savagely oppressing it’s inhabitants.

Amoung the unfortunate – Naru, the saviour of Ori from the night he got lost in the storm and adoptive mother who took care of him and nursed him back to health. Saddened by her passing, Ori wandered the forest and began to feel the cluthes of death on him as well due to his absence from the Spirit Tree.

The Spirit Tree, which has grown weak from the situation himself, sensed his sons approaching death as he fell on the ground and used all of his strength to save Ori from his imminent death – placing all faith of saving the forst on him.

As Ori woke up from his almost death slumber, he began investigating the forest, finding the spirit Sein and lost kin trees which shared thier power and agility with him to aid in his journy. Sein, the eyes of the forest and now guide of Ori, advised on what they must do to restore the forests to it’s former glory and cure it from it’s corruption.

After some time of exploring the forest in search of answers – Ori and Sein finally reached the souce of the forests power, The Spirit Tree.
It was apparent that the tree was weak, exhausted from the ordeal the forest was going and using all his remains to resurrect Ori.

In the fields of the Spirit Tree, Sein spoke to Ori and instructed him on the events that unfolded and caused the current state of the forest……which might help understand what must be done.
………………………………………………..The flashbacks…………………………………………………..

Viewing the flashbacks, Ori witnesses the faithful event that happened that night the Spirit Tree tried to re-call him back to his side…..
That night, when the Spirit Tree lit the whole forest in his gaze for his lost son, there was one inhabitant that did not see the display with gracing eyes…. In the distance, a huge bird by the Name of Kuro drew closer to the Spirit Trees light, but not of an awe……but of hate and disquest !

What happened next was hard for Ori, as he saw Kuro attack his beloved kin, and not only that, Kuro delivered a blow to the Spirit Trees core in an attempt to silence the blinding lights – a blow which flunged Sein out of the Spirit tree, distrupting the tree elements and throwing Nibel into the chaos which it is now undergoing…..

Absorbing this knowledge, Ori understood the unfortunate outcome that has unfolded, and vows to see Nibel restored to it’s former life….. Sein, with the instruction of the Spirit Tree, guide Ori on to what they must do – The three elements of the forest, The Ginso Tree, Forlorn ruins and Mount Horu suffered from the turmoil greatly and became corrput.
But only through the elements , can the forst be restored once more to it’s former self.

To Ori the task was clear – he must visit each element and with the help of Sein, restore them to their prime !
The first – being the very essence of the forest – the Ginso Tree, responsible for the pure waters of the forest which currently turn sour and murky from the corruption.

……………………………………………………..Time goes by………………………………………….

Ori journys towards the Ginso tree, but first he must travarse the thornfelt swamp in order to retrieve the Water Vein – a critical component needed to restore the Ginso Tree to it’s former self.
However…….as Ori and Sein Reach the supposed location of the Vein, a Gumon is spoted and is holding it !
Alarmed by the presence of Ori and Sein, the Gumo flees with the Vein !

Ori and Sein give chase, and follow it to it’s hideout. Being corrupted by the turmoil, the Gumo knows not right from wrong and hinders Ories quest with traps…….

…………………………………………………….Time goes by……………………………………………..

After besting the Gumoes traps and reaching his lair, the Gumo tries his final trap to stop Ori, but in doing so earthquake has suddenly stirred!
Fleeing in fear, the Gumo finds himself trapped as rubble fell on him.
Ori, viewing his distress, helps free him and apply soothing words – one which leaves the Gumo confused and makes him hand over the Water Vein before fleeing yet again to the woods !
Ori felt as if their paths will cross again……and he hopes to befriend the Gumo one day.

Exiting the Gumoes hideout – Ori now turns his gaze to the Ginso Tree……
After crossing the fields of the thornfelt swamp yet again, Ori arrived at the bottom of the Ginso tree…
Standing above him, the towering mass of wood and plants, which was once known to be riddled with beautiful creatures and exotic plants !
Now……only to be swarmed with thorns, hostile enemys and weak branches……

Planing his way up, Ori begins the climb of his life, with it’s final destination – the very heart of the Ginso Tree !
With Sein by his side as a companion, protector and freind – together none can stop them !

Will Ori be able to reach the Ginso Tree and make first steps to restore the Forest of Nibel to it’s former self? ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Thus ended another chapter of narration in this magnificent story, untill next time ! 🙂
I would like to thank, TheCzar1994, Vaser888 and Kaltern for providing much needed feedback to better capture the experience of this great journy !

Hope you enjoy 🙂
