Also known as “Bonus Track” or “Secret Track,” this song is from The World Ends With You (TWEWY), specifically TWEWY Final Remix. It was in both versions, but in the first version it was a bonus track that was present on the OST but not actually in game, hence its alternate name. I chose to use the Final Mix version primarily for the higher audio quality, otherwise I didn’t have strong feelings about either version.

“When you have an appetite for fantasy… ”
– in-game preview text

I never realized before making this map that the song was in 16/8, so I briefly thought I completely screwed up the BPM when I heard what sounded like triplets but were landing on the 1/2 beat as if they were eighth notes. For those of you that aren’t versed in music theory, all time signatures with 8 in the bottom group eighth notes into sets of three, then if the top number isn’t divisible by three, they make an asymmetric meter. In the case of 16/8, this sounds like “ONE two three FOUR five six ONE two three FOUR five six ONE two ONE two.” This song is a pretty clear example of it at the start, but if you don’t hear it, my go-to example for demonstrating 16/8 is Only A Plank Between One And Perdition from FF8 (starting around 7 seconds in), which pairs the emphasized/de-emphasized pattern with pitch changes. So if you want to figure out what the heck I’m talking about with all this 16/8 nonsense, give that song a listen to try to figure it out.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy my map.
