In all my years of playing video games……….few games managed to really steer an emotional attachment quite like Ori and the Blind forest.
Apart from amazing art work, fun gameplay, sad and eventful story – the soundtrack is superb and magnifies the experience – credit to the composer **Gareth Coker** for such an amazing score and **Aerali Brighton** for her angel like vocal voice.
This map will feature **5 total difficulties**, with 2 modes – *One Saber* included !

**CRACK!**
Was the sound of roaring thunder in the now black skies.
As the sun gave way to the moon, the utter darkness that shrouded Nibel made room to the malicious storm that formed in the plains.
The Spirit Tree, which has experienced his fair of harsh weather, stood his ground while the winds tried to throw his branches of balance.
However, just then, a strong gush of wind coupled with rain tore a leaf from one of his branches !
Said leaf housed an unborn Spirit – Ori, who was now lost in the storm and drifted far away from the spirit tree……..
Watching helplessly as his child drifted off, the Spirit Tree could only hope he would land safely……..
From afar, one of the forests residents – a bear like creature by the name of Naru, watched the storm and suddenly noticed a bright leaf passing by her….
Curiously, she went to investigate the matter and followed the leafs trail………. untill it landed safe and sound on a nearby rock.
Suddenly, the leaf transformed and took the shape of a newly born spirit !
Thus, Ori was born, helpless and vaunrable to the elements, with him being still asleep.
Naru, feeling the need to protect a helpless and new-born baby creature, got closer and embraced Ori like a mother to son and decided adopt him as one of her own kin, taking him back to her cave………
The Spirit Tree watched from afar, relived to see his son in safe hands, for being acquainted with Naru – knew he could not of asked for a better foster mother……
……………………..Time passes, and so does the cycle of seasons………………..
It has been many moons since the dreadful night that tore Ori from his home.
Since then, Naru, Ori’s foster mother, embraced him as one of her own and taught him the ways of life…….. one that included gathering fruits, building bridges to cross rivers and of course, plenty of eating……
However, The Spirit Tree had not quite given up and accepted Ori’s fate of being a lone Spirit all his life, for he knows he belonged with his kin and sensed that great things await for his child of light…..
Patiently he waited for an opportunity to signal his sons roots….
With a plan set in motion, The Spirit Tree decided to wait for a faithful night that he will light the skies ablaze with his light, a signal Ori will surely follow !
……………………….The faithful day…………………….
Ori and Naru were once again on the hunt for food, together they started the morning with a need to cross a river and reach a pile of fruits on the other side.
Being used to each other by now and working out a plan, they spent the entire day building a bridge that would carry them across – and so they did !
After spending the entire day planing, building, coordinating and lifting – they made it to the other side !
With a shout of joy they embrace each other……….and proceed to gather their prize.
While they did so, the moon was once more fast appriaching, as night time has once more fallen uponNibel……
With it….. was time the time for the Spirit Trees plan…..
Naru and Ori were feasting on their prized pile of fruits.
Ori decided to grab a batch and save it for the morning – thus he went to return back to their cave for the night.
On his way, he climbed a hill he always used to take that provided a grand view of Nibel.
However…..as he reached the peak, he was star strucked !
The Spirit Tree initiated his plan, he was all but ablaze and radaited spirit energy !
Ori, looking into the Spirit tree’s light, could not avert his gaze………from the sheer shock he dropped all the batch he was carrying on the ground and felt….drawn to the light.
Suddenly, his trance was broken as he got picked up by the panicked Naru !
Garbbing Ori, she quickly rushed to the cave, avoiding the bright light !
The Spirit Trees plan has sadly failed, he could not voice his words to his son and will have to wait for yet another chance…..
However, one does not just disturb all of the night creatures……for his actions were not without consequences…..
Uknown to him, he has distubed a mighty night creature that did not take a kind approach to his bright display…….and thus, invoked it’s wrath !
A terrible tragic night followed thereafter……..
………………..Time passes…………………………..
Naru and Ori continued their life the next day and the following seasons….unaware of the events that occured the previous night…..
The Spirit Tree has lost it’s power over Nibel, for a raid on the sacred plains of hollow bough has occured due to his impulsive light show which has disturbed a mighty night ceature…….
Slowly, with the ongoing moons and seasons, the lack of supervision and magic of the Spirit Tree has taken it’s toll.
The waters became murky, the trees died, the winds ceased and failed to carry it’ seed and the warmth became unstable and harmful…..
Slowly but surely, Naru and Ori felt it’s effect as well……..
With no trees or clean water, they were starving, as their last batch of food contained by a mere one fruit….
Naru gave it to Ori so that he may live while starving herself out, just like a mother would do….
Ori, determined to find food for his mother, set out to scavenge…..
As he exited the cave, he was greated with the dreadful sight he already got used to……
Nibel was in disaster, the clouds themselves were as murky as the waters and all the grass and trees were death struck….
However, amidst all the death, Ori managed to find one last batch of fruit, on a tall tree nearby !
Quickly, he climbed and grabbed that batch while rushing back in joy to his mother !
Unfortunately……..a dreadful surprise was awaiting him………on his return to the cave, he found Naru, all but still.
Handing over the fruits to her with joy, he was confused as to why she was not responding to his gesture.
After approaching her and trying to wake her up, he understood………his adoptive mother starved herself to death so that he may live…….
Hearthbroken and shocked, Ori embraced Naru and fell asleep on her……
After a few hours he woke up, hoping it was but a mere nightmare, but it was all real !
With teary eyes, Ori left their hom cave and ventured off into the forest, into the unknown……
Sad, alone and with no food or the Spirit Trees light, Ori became weaker than ever………….step by step he took untill he finally collapsed to his final breaths….
However, it was not his time yet……!
Sensing his sons near-death dire condition, the Spirit Tree directed all of his power into one last concentrated life trail of flowers !
As he glowed with the power of life, it traveled ever closer towards Ori, untill it enveloped him !
Absorbing the life that has beeng given to him, Ori has been resurrected anew !
Now awoke, he was confused by the situation…..
Looking to his right, he saw the remains of the glow left by the Spirit Tree……..could this be his saviour ?!
Wanting to further investigate the matter, he took his first steps into the Sunken Glades…..
Pressing forward into the Glades, Ori encountered a mysterious light…….which turns out to be – Sein ! the wisp of light that was once part of the Spirit Tree.
Awakaning from her dorment, Sein began communicating with Ori.
After a bit of catching up, Ori began to understand the forests dire situation and how he came back to life with the Spirit Trees final blessing.
They both understood that reaching the Spirit Tree in order to understand what has happened in that Dreadful Night will be the first major piece in the effort of restoring the forest of Nibel to it’s former life.
And thus, they were on thier way…….
……………………………..Some time passes………………………………….
After crossing the Glades, figthing corrupted creatures, solving puzzles and unlocking the final door, Ori and Sein reached the Spirit Tree…..
Entering the open fields of hollow bough and watching the Spirit Tree tower above, Ori could not help but feel he has entered Sacred Grounds – his home and where his kin lay in dorment due to the Spirit Trees demise.
Exhausted and weak, the Spirit Tree layed somber and still while Ori intakes his surroundings……
Sein took this opportunity to further explain the situation to Ori.
With a wave of ancestral flasback hitting him, he was about to view a haunting image……….
